Jichen Zhang
I am currently a second-year DPhil student at Control Group from University of Oxford, advised by Prof. Antonis Papachristodoulou and Prof. Jack Umenberger.
In 2024, I graduated from Tsinghua University with a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. I was a student at the Smart Grid and Renewable Energy Lab from Tsinghua-Berkeley Shenzhen Institute, advised by Prof. Yinliang Xu.
In 2021, I graduated from Harbin Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Automation.

Oct 2025, I was excited to share that I officially joined the Alan Turing Institute 2025 Enrichment Scheme as a visiting PhD researcher!
Sept 2025, our paper “Constrained Diffusers for Safe Planning and Control” has been accepted by NeurIPS 2025!
October 2024, I joined the Control Group at University of Oxford!
June 2024, I graduated from Tsinghua University with Beijing Outstanding Graduates!
January 2024, our paper “Networked Multiagent Safe Reinforcement Learning for Low-carbon Demand Management in Distribution Network” has been accepted by IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy (IF:8.8, JCR Q1)
February 2023, our paper “Bi-level Mixed-Integer Nonlinear Optimization for Pelagic Island Microgrid Group Energy Management Considering Uncertainty” has been accepted by CSEE JPES (IF:7.1, JCR Q1)
